As a mum of four, I know the weight of entrusting your child to someone else’s care. You don’t just hope they’ll be safe—you hope they’ll be seen. That their quirks will be celebrated, their fears understood, and their milestones shared with joy. I know the relief of finding an educator who “gets” your child, and the stress when the system feels too hard to navigate. These lived experiences shape the way I lead LECC. They remind me daily that behind every enrolment form and compliance check is a child—and a family—who deserve nothing less than safety, trust, and belonging.

The Story Behind Leading Education and Care Consultants

Every journey begins with a question. For me, that question was: Why do so many passionate educators feel unsupported, undervalued, and left to struggle within a system that should be lifting them up?

As both an educator and a mother of four, I’ve seen the early years sector from every angle. I know the sleepless nights, the school runs, the heartache of leaving your child in someone else’s care, and the fierce desire to see them safe, nurtured, and understood. I’ve also stood on the other side—supporting families, guiding educators, and working to create spaces where children can truly thrive.

Through it all, one truth has been clear: children’s safety and wellbeing must always come first. And safety is about more than regulations and checklists—it’s about trust, relationships, and truly understanding what families go through.

The Gaps in Our Sector

Despite the dedication of educators, the early years system is stretched thin. Funding is limited, compliance is complex, and too often, the responsibility for keeping everything afloat falls on individuals rather than being shared by a strong support network.

  • Educators are passionate but often feel isolated, juggling compliance and children’s needs without adequate mentoring.

  • Families can feel lost navigating childcare systems like CCS, unsure of who to turn to for guidance.

  • Children—who should always be at the centre—can be affected when the adults around them are stressed, unsupported, or overwhelmed.

As a parent, I know how vital it is to trust that your child is not only cared for but understood. As an educator, I’ve seen how powerful it is when systems actually work to protect and empower everyone involved.

Why I Created LECC

I founded Leading Education and Care Consultants (LECC) with a mission to close these gaps and to ensure that no child, family, or educator feels unseen or unsupported.

Our scheme is built on three promises:

  • Uplift educators with the training, mentoring, and resources they need to feel confident and capable—because supported educators create safer, richer environments for children.

  • Empower families by building transparent processes and strong relationships—because families should never feel like outsiders in their child’s learning journey.

  • Inspire communities by fostering genuine connections—because children thrive when they feel a strong sense of belonging.

At its heart, LECC is about creating a Family Day Care Scheme where safety, trust, and understanding are non-negotiable.

Building Something Different

What makes LECC different is that we are not here to simply “tick the boxes.” We are here to:

  • Embed respect, fairness, and excellence into every decision.

  • Lead with integrity, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and safety under the National Quality Framework.

  • Create a culture where educators are never left on their own, families feel truly listened to, and children are surrounded by adults who see their unique strengths and needs.

As a parent of four, I bring not just professional expertise but lived experience into this work. I know that families need more than policies—they need understanding. They need to know their children are safe, seen, and nurtured.

The Road Ahead

This is only the beginning. As we prepare to launch our Family Day Care Scheme across the Mornington Peninsula, I invite educators, families, and community members to walk alongside us.

Because children’s safety isn’t just about compliance—it’s about building a world where they are always understood, always valued, and always protected.

That’s the story behind Leading Education and Care Consultants. And it’s a story we hope you’ll be part of.
